Year After Year I Couldn't Stop Gaining Weight no Matter What I Tried no Matter What Diet I Was On,I Hit A Certain Weight And Couldn't Lose Anymore,So I Lost The Will Power And Gained Back Twice As Much.

Now I Have Been In My House For Going On 3 Years And on Janurary 13th.I Had Congestive Heart Failure And Was Taken To The Hospital and Spent A Week In There,"As You Can See I Lived!!"...Im So Tired Of Being Inside my Home.. Missing The World Outside Living Inside A Computer And Most Of My Friends Being Internet Friends ..."By The Way I Love You All Very Much!!!

I Don't Want To Live The Remaining Days Of My Life Inside A House And Not Really Have Lived My Life... Well I Took The Jump And I Am Having The Surgery,I Have My First Appointment On May 2nd. And Im Very Excited To Get This Surgery "ROUX-EN-Y GASTRIC BYPASS Lap Or Open" Don't Know Which One Yet But I Really Don't Care!!!

  • April 1st. I Had To Go Back Into The Hospital With Congetive Heart Failure Again,I Was In For A Week.I Was Swollen Like A Balloon Retaining Fluids Again.I Don't Think I Can Take That Again,I Really Need This Surgery As Fast As Possible So When I See The Doctor At Ohio State University Medical Center I Will Explain To Him I Need This Surgery ASAP... Thank You For Stopping By My Webpage.

    Newest update!! May 15th. 2002.

  • October 19th.,2001. I had my surgery,it was the Roux-en-y Gastric Bypass Open procedure with a Gallbladder and appendix removal. My Doctor did a Distal on me where they bypass more of your intestine to lose faster,I had a 150 cm bypass that is about 5 feet that he bypassed.I never had much pain at all in my incision area but being that I was so large and laying on that small flat table for 3 1/2 hours I did have some pinched nerves in my lower back and my legs were numb so I had to use a walker to walk the first few months after my surgery.I was a bit depressed for at least 2 months after my surgery,I don't know if it was post op depression or what all I know is that I was a mess but I promise it does get better and you do forget the bad parts after surgery.

  • I am now 6 months and 3 weeks post op,I have lost a total of 230 pounds so far and 24 inches off my waist. 92 inches was my start around my waist hence the name 92inches.com. As months go by I will update this site, actually I will update it quite often. First 2 months after surgery I had to use a walker to walk,my legs killed me just to try to walk 5 feet. Then I moved up to using a cane and used the cane for 3 months. Now I really dont need to use a cane to walk at all but I do keep it next to me,I think it's just habit from using a cane for many many years. It does come in handy sometimes for grabing things and pulling them closer.lol.. I'm going for now, will update soon. Take care,God Bless.

  • August 10th.2002 Havent written in awhile, been trying to keep myself busy. I have been walking..ugh yes I still hate it..lol Anyways im doing great feeling great too,I have lost 270 pounds now and it's kinda hard to believe but I have done it and its the best thing that I have ever done in my entire life..NO REGRETS WHAT SO EVER!!! You gotta remember I was 745 pounds I thought I had no chance of living let alone surviving this Surgery but I made it and I thank God every day!! Anyone out there reading this and you weigh like 400 or maybe even 600 or more, dont be afraid. I was more afraid when I was at my highest weight, not thinking I would wake up in the morning and I think I thought that about every day of my life the last 3 years,a few times I gave up and wanted to just die but my friend Lisa convinced me I had things to do yet on earth so her little talks with me sank in and made me think about things and it worked,im here,Im happy and im loving every day now of my life instead of just existing every day.So if your thinking about having this surgery and you are afraid of dying think about this...Do I not have this surgery and maybe live a few more months or a year or have the surgery wake up with a new outlook on life and live the remaining days of your life healthy and happy and not fat anymore...Sound good to you? Sure did me :-)

  • Janurary 3rd. 2003 Well new year, new life, feeling Excellent 14 months later. I honestly have to say the weight is coming off easier than I expected. I am slowing down in weight loss but thats normal. Im at 420 pounds my start weight was 745 pounds. Total loss of 325 pounds so far. I need to lose another 75 pounds then I will try to start having all my plastic surgeries. I need tummy tuck all the way around 360,I need the skin off my chest removed I think its called male masectomy, Under my arms the skin is hanging bad the old "bat wings" going on here..lol, Inner thighs need done.dang it does seem alot and I know the pain will be horrible but it has to be done. I hope the people that stop by here and reads my story can get something out of it. I never thought I would ever have any type of future what so ever but that has changed. I now have a long life ahead of me. I would love to find a girlfriend, I been hiding away most my life and was always afraid of relationships, now that I would like one im not sure what to do or how to search. I guess I will figure that one out. Boy I think I need to update this more often huh? lol. Oh well I try. Take care and thank you for stoping by my little part of the world.

I took the time early on post-op to learn to eat all over again, breaking the old habbits starting new.I really want to thank you all for supporting me every step of the way,I Love my AMOS Family. Thank you with all of my heart. This July 9th. I am doing the Support Group meeting at wheeling hospital on internet resources and all the links to help people searching for info about weightloss surgery and related links such as recipe links and alot of others. If anyone reading this needs a copy of the 3 pages of links that I have compiled e-mail me at thecrow2800@cs.com I will be more than happy to e-mail them out to you. I promise I will try harder to update more often. I go to OSU in August on the 8th for my Plastic Surgery Consultation hoping to have Tummy Tuck and Hernia Repair this winter around Chrisdtmas time. I will keep everyone updated on that progress.

  • September 14th. 2003 I have reached my goal of losing 400 pounds 2 months ahead of schedule and I couldn't be happier. It's amazing how my life has changed these past 2 years. I now have a life I never knew I could possibly have. I think I have walked more in the past year than I did in the past 20 years before my surgery. Those who are morbidly obese and sit in the house and dream of doing things but not thinking it will ever be possible in your life time.. It is possible... now I know anything is possible, If you want it bad enough. I have so much to do, like living the dreams that I have always wanted. I want you to know that the Gastic Bypass Surgery does work and I am living proof of it. Who would of ever thought Kirk Thompson actually being normal in weight. 745 Pounds down to 345 Pounds in under 2 years. If you want it go for it!! YOU WON'T REGRET IT ONE BIT!!! HONEST...
